The International Snow Science Workshop (ISSW) exists to faciliate the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experiences between snow science researchers and practioners. The motto of the International Snow Science Workshop is "The Merging of Theory with Practice". ISSW hosts a biennial conference in the western North American mountain region that brings together researchers and practioners from all over the world.
The next ISSW Conference,ISSW 2010 will be held in Squaw Valley, California, from October 17st to 22nd 2010. Visit the ISSW2010 website.
The most recent conference, ISSW 2009, was held in Davos, Switzerland, from September 27th to October 2nd 2009.
This was the first time that an ISSW has taken place in Europe, and we are both proud and delighted that it took place in Davos, the European 'home' of Avalanche research. Visit the ISSW2009 website.
